Graphic Novels
In the graphic novels, short comics, and webcomics, my interests tend towards the dark - whether that entails twisted horror stories or thorny examinations of relationships between men and women or people of different races.
The themes I’m most interested in exploring are the essential unknowability of other people, the shifting nature of identity, the process of creating memory and history, murder ballads and folklore, retelling history, and the power and beauty of people’s stories. I also just like to use comics to scare people or make them cry.
The genres I am most interested in, and work the most regularly in, include:
- Horror
- Literary Fiction
- Crime
- History/Folklore
- Drama
- Action
- Science Fiction
I produce a monthly horror webcomic, Split Lip, and work on other scripts and concepts as well.
I am always seeking new artists for collaboration or publishers for my work. If you are interested in discussing work with me, or learning about my comics pitches, please contact me through this website.
