Crime comics have experienced a mini-renaissance in recent years that is especially welcome in the superhero-dominated world of comics. Noir is a solid, short collection, with standout stories coming in Brian Azzarello’s nod to Batman’s origin from the perspective of the Waynes’ killers and a new Stray Bullets story from David Lapham.
