Last Night at the Lobster, by Stewart O’Nan
Some days I really miss working high school/college jobs, at movie theaters, Staples, and restaurants. They weren’t necessarily good jobs, but the camaraderie and the pride in them was pleasing. O’Nan’s short novel, about the last day of a Red Lobster, made me want those jobs again, if only for a while.
